Snow In Summertime is the first song written for SEA Partners by John Williamson under the Seasong label. Snow In Summertime is the result of God moving John’s heart through pictures and stories of the men, women and children of Boma, Sudan. Accompanying John on vocals is Kelsey Brown (Executive Director Micheal Harris’ daughter) along with John’s two kids; 14 year old Timothy on percussions and 10 year old Madison on rain stick.
Snow In Summertime
By John Williamson II
Verse 1
I was growin’ up in a small town
I thought everyone had what they need….
Until I saw my own need….
On a Sunday morning
Verse 2
I’m living my days with grace in the lead
But something’s missing from the daily read
Is it giving to the faces of need?
Pre Chorus
But what could I give?
How can I live?
Be faithful and trust….
Chorus
It can snow in summertime
It can rain when skies are blue
He will work through what you can give
Even if it’s unclear to you
Unclear to you
Verse 3
Jesus straightened my life when great was my need
With His tender love I can ____be His hands and His feet
So show me how to give myself away
Verse 4
It don’t make sense to me
To be the “righteousness of God”
And not be giving to the faces of need
Pre Chorus
Chorus
Bridge
To the least of these bring hope
With talent and treasure
In the Name above all names
In fullness of measure….fullness of measure
Verse 5
I’ve decided to give and He’ll show me how
I don’t need to understand everything right now
You’ll teach me as I give myself away
Verse 6
I wanna put the fear away
And trust that He will take care of me
As I give to the faces of need….
Pre Chorus
Chorus 2x
