BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dr. Donnie Brake, President
As a child, Dr. Brake spent five years in Ethiopia with his parents who served Christ as missionaries with SIM. In God's mercy, he was introduced to Dr. Celestin Musekura in January of 2001, who invited him to go to South Sudan with ALARM.
Therefore, in 2001, he began his first journey back to Africa and spent a week training pastors in South Sudan. During his stay, he fell in love with the people of Sotuh Sudan and began to understand their plight. Living through twenty-five years of war has decimated the infrastructure of the country. The people had little hope of ever living a normal life.
In 2004, Dr. Musekura asked him to join the newly formed Sudan Evangelical Alliance Partners(SEA Partners). With a background in business development, this appeared to be the perfect opportunity for him to help the people of South Sudan.
In June of 2005, Dr. Brake became President and Chairman of the Board and in July 2017 he began working full-time with SEA Partners.
Donnie has been married to Beth for 31 years and they have three boys, DL (26), Josh (24) and Caleb (21). His undergraduate degree is from Multnomah University (Formerly Multnomah Bible College) in Biblical Studies and he earned a Master’s Degree in Sports Management and completed a Doctorate in Education in July 2015.
Micheal Harris, Treasurer
Micheal Harris was a pastor for over 25 years and lives in Boring, OR with his wife Renee'. They have 5 grown children and 5 grand children. Micheal led three teams to Khartoum to conduct training conferences beginning in 2005 where his heart too was captured by the Sudanese.
He made a decision in September 2007 to devote his efforts full time with SEA Partners and began serving as the American Director.
Micheal would be the contact for anyone wanting to have a presentation made at your church or organization as well as being the one to help organize and assemble teams to serve in Sudan.
Micheal joined the Board of Directors in 2012 after serving faithfully as the organization’s American Director. He is currently a teacher and athletic director at Good Shepherd Christian School in Oregon.
